Attention all international students! Did you miss out on the Spooktacular fun at the recent Freshers’ Halloween party? Well, don’t worry because we’ve got you covered with a hilarious recap of our informative (yet spooky) stall at as students from both West View and West Village accommodations made their way to the annual Halloween Party. Our team of silly yet informative representatives set up shop at the Freshers event, playing games, giving out information, and connecting with students from all over the world.
The event was held by Downing Students, and was a brilliant opportunity to showcase our brand and what we have to offer to you, our beloved international students. So, sit back, relax, and get ready for a ghoulishly good time as we take you through our experience at the Freshers’ Halloween party.

Halloween Festivities at West View
Strolling West View, we were greeted by a group of cheerful staff members who were almost as sparkling as the bags of sweets they showered us with! After a quick tour, we had dived straight into setting up our stall, where the selection of snacks and treats rivalled a tuck shop at Hogwarts. Events for students like these always bring out the best energy and create a brilliant atmosphere, especially with a spellbinding playlist of Halloween tunes setting the mood.
Never have we seen a group of freshers so eager to dive into an escape room! It was like watching a group of Scooby-Doo and the gang, determined to solve mysteries, and come out victorious. In between their adventures, the students popped over to our stall to join us in some spine-chillingly fun games, adding an extra layer of laughter and camaraderie to the night. It was a superb blend of ghosts and games, making it one fantastic night to remember!
Tales of International Students Settling in a New City f
The stories we heard from the international students were nothing short of thrilling. Tales of their most memorable experiences, whether it was a haggis tasting gone awry or their first encounter with the infamous Scottish weather. It was like having a front-row seat to a global theatre of stories, transporting us to every corner of the world in a matter of minutes.
As the evening passed, we found ourselves in awe of the students, admiring their courage and determination to embrace life in Glasgow. Stories of late-night study sessions, midnight snack runs to the nearby Morrisons, and how hard the Glaswegian accent was to understand kept us chuckling throughout the event.
We learned so much about the different cultures, their food, traditions, and customs. But what struck us the most was their eagerness to learn about Glasgow, to settle in and make the city their new home.
